Veronica's been called Ronnie as long as she can remember. Her dad says its because when she was a kid, she was too much of a tomboy to be called Veronica - too girly. So her dad came up with Ronnie. Her mother refuses to call her that, even though everyone else that knows her does.
Ronnie has a certain... disdain for her mother, ever since the divorce. It was nasty, but only from the New York side. Her father just took off, because, she'd find out later, her mother was having an affair. Sort of makes you lose all respect for you mother. Ronnie immediately moved out of her mom's Manhattan apartment and into her dad's shack, here in nowhere.
Of course her ten year old little brother Jonah would have none of that. He kicked and screamed until a couple weeks later, he was sent to live here too. But she doesn't mind. She adored him and his smart ass ways, always reminding her of little things, always proving her wrong. She loves kids, even babysits when she can.
She's tough as nails and takes no crap, and her biggest pet peeve is people who play games with her. Ronnie can be as sweet as she wants, but when you piss her off, she gets really single minded, stubborn, and loud. Luckily her father is good with her.
Her father, Steve, is her best friend. She was the first born, the one that always stuck up for him in arguments. She was daddy's little girl. They talked about everything from her mom, her sister and brother, to boys, and sometimes God. He taught her how to play the piano when she was very young, and it was their special bond until her sister was born.
He was always a very quiet and introverted man, but after her sister committed suicide, he got even quieter. Ronnie didnt get along with her sister much, they were so close in age, and after it happened, she just regretted not getting along with her more... not trying harder. After it happened, Ronnie stopped playing the piano. Melody was always better at it than she was, and she saw no point to playing anymore. Whenever she even heard it she got angry.
Simple things; Ronnie has long, wavy brown hair - the only girly thing about her. She has a purple streack in her hair from her goth days, and she wears whatever's in her closet. She has green eyes that she got from her dad, Jonah getting Mom's brown ones. She's not too complicated, just different, if you can even say that. Ronnie is just Ronnie, and that's all she wants.
