Noelle looked at him her smile fading.
"The whole world isn't like that....."
She paused.
"Trust me... My whole world was turned upside down when I was 11... I thought the same thing for years. I am still dealing with some of the affects from that."
She messed with her sleeves a little.
"But I found some good in the world... I am sure you can too."

"Yeah. Maybe you're right. I mean, I've got a beautiful girl, and..." He scratched his forehead.
"Well, that's about it. My best friend and I haven't spoken in two weeks, my other best friend is ignoring me, so all I really have is Ronnie, if you could even say I have her."

Noelle sighed.
"Jamie... you can't look at the negatives.... if yo do that you will turn all your positives into negatives."
She rolled up her sleeve to show many lines going up her arm.
" I did this when I was 11 and looked for all the negatives in life... I did this until I was about 14. This is the same thing you are doing with the drugs"

Jamie stared down at the scars on her arm, then rolled up his own sleeves and held out his forearms.
"I was 14 when I cut too deep." He pointed to a particularly long, bold scar on his left arm.
"I've seen every angle of the black rainbow. Let me know if you find the sunny side."

Noelle sighed.
"Jamie... there are bright pieces of that rainbow.... you just have to go and look for then. The drugs are preventing you from doing that.. its holding yo back"

Jamie rolled down his sleeves and stood up.
"It doesn't matter. I'll see you later." And with that, he left.
