Jason took cooking class to get an easy A. If only he knew how bad he was at this shit. And how dumb he looked in the apron. It was taco day, and he couldnt even get the meat to stay in the shell. He scratched his head, glaring at the preparation in front of him, willing them to just go together and make a burrito.

Marshall however, cooked often at home. He watched Jason struggling (he had long since finished) and decided to pity the kid.
"Need some advice?"

"No." Jason huffed. "I just want it to magically work." He said, frowning.

"Well, this is cooking class, not Hogwarts." Marshall laughed awkwardly, causing a slight pause in talking.
"I mean, you don't need a wand to put together a taco. You just put it in, its really not that difficult. Not that its a problem that you can't do it."
He smiled weakly, hoping that would cover his babbling.

"That's what he said." Jason tried not to laugh. The babbling was cute, and he didnt want to make this kid feel worse about it by laughing.
"And I know. It just wont stay in. Every time i try, i make a mess." He said, rolling his eyes, going for a soft shell to try again.

Marshall grabbed onto Jason's wrist, and moved his hand from the soft shell to the crunchy.
He also mightv'e held on for a little too long.
"First step, use the hard ones."

Jasons lips became a thin line as he withheld saying 'That's what she said' again and laughing.
"Of course. The hard ones are always easiest. I shouldn've known that."

"Yep. Soft only works for burritos, that's tomorrow." Marshall explained, as if it were actually important.
Oooh dear. This was starting to seem familiar.

"I thought we were making burritos today." Jason sighed, defeated. "I can't do any of this stuff right."

"Well-" Marshall began, but the bell rang, saving him from another potential ramble.
"Er... See you tomorrow." He said, beginning to take the time he needed to get his backpack on. When one of your legs is busted, anything that takes balance is harder. By the time he was standing and ready to go, it had already been about two minutes.
"Ok, bye for real this time." He blushed as he began to hobble towards the door.

"Want some help?" Jason asked, gracefully throwing his backpack on and catching up to him. "You helped me, so i should return the favor."

"No, I got thi-"
Suddenly, Marshall's books flipped onto the ground.
"s.... See, there, I tested gravity for my science class... Still working..."
God, who was speaking?

"You havent found a time yet that gravity doesnt work right?" He asked, feigning true worry as he picked up his books for him. "Cause if you do, please notify me." He smiled, standing up and handing over the books.
"Because when I was a kid, i was always afraid I'd just float away forever. And i want to make sure I have a rope with me." He winked.

"Yeah... Sure, of course I'd let you know." Marshall was on a roll of all-time-babbling low.
"Y'know, you never told me your name." Marshall said, but wait, there's more!
"But we're in the same class... so I mean, I know your name. It's Jason. But I just thought since we've never talked before, we shou-... Marshall... is my name."

"Am I not allowed to call you Moosh like everyone else?" Jason asked, raising an eyebrow.
