Marshall was sitting on the couch in Jamie's room... It was wierd, staying here when Jamie wasn't around.
Then again, if Buck were still around, Marshall was hardly welcome at home. So, he might as well be here.

Jamie climbed through the window of his bedroom, soaked to the bone as his clothes dripped water onto the floor. Not only was he predominantly wet, but his hair was standing on end and looked slightly burnt.
"That is the last time I sit on a swingset during a thunderstorm."

Moosh looked up from the book he was reading... Sybil.
"Oh geez.... You alright?"

Jamie shook out his long hair, splattering water everywhere.
"Yeah, I'm cool. Lightning struck the swings, not me."

Marshall jumped up, and walked over to the closet. He pulled out a towel, and tossed it over to Jamie.
"Gabe wasn't home, and Buck still was..."

Jamie wiped his face with the towel and smoothed down his hair.
"I had a feeling Gabe wasn't gonna be home tonight. I get the feeling he told me something about it, but my memory is shot."
He climbed into the closet - literally - and shut the door behind him as he changed his clothes.
"As for Buck, you're welcome to stay here as long as he's around." Jamie called through the door.

"Buck's one of the more short-term Alters." Marshall explained, picking his book back up.
"He usually doesn't stay longer than a day. He'll be gone by tomorrow."

"Okay, but just know the offer still stands," Jamie walked out of the closet, having changed from his soaking wet jeans and shirt to pajama pants and a t-shirt.
"Here," he threw a pair of sweatpants at Moosh.
"You sleep on the bed. I'll sleep on the couch."

"I really don't want to be a hassle, you should really sleep in your own b-..." Marshall began to argue against the offer as he walked to the closet to change, but when he turned and saw the look on Jamie's face, he stopped.
Jamie would not give in, as usual.
"Ok, fine."

"Good, now that that's settled." Jamie turned his attention to the small television set sitting on top of his dresser.
"Let's see if this sucker will work for once. If you want a shirt, feel free to take one."

Marshall stepped out of the closet, now in the pair of sweatpants and one of Jamie's band t-shirts. The shirt was a size or two too big, but Moosh didn't seem to mind. He was staring down at the weird design on the shirt.
"Who's Coheed and Cambria?"

Jamie glanced at the t-shirt Moosh was wearing.
"Oh, Coheed and Cambria. Best band ever. That's the Jersey City Devils design. Limited edition. Cost me sixty-five bucks."
He started flipping through the channels, a fuzzy picture coming through due to the storm.
"Basically they're this sicknasty progressive rock band whose songs tell a science fiction story about Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon and their kids and stuff like that. They're probably the one thing in this world that make me genuinely happy."

"It's an interesting design." Marshall said, though he looked a little confused as he stared at the shirt.
"Still struggling with the T.V.?"

Jamie chucked the remote at the television set, hitting the off button with acute precision.
"Fuckin' piece of junk."

Marshall picked up the remote from where it fell and placed it on the dresser next to the T.V.
"Good throw."
